About Our Rooms

Our three rooms are all newly furnished and feature beautifully crafted ensuite bathrooms. The contemporary feel is enhanced by the 20th century artwork from around the world that adorns the walls and from which the rooms take their names. Each room has hard line and wifi internet, 32" flat screen smart TVs, crisp linens, individual temperature control thermostats, 10-foot ceilings with ceiling fans and the original nearly 100-year old gleaming wood floors.

Salisbury is a famous railroad town so you are never far away from a rail track. Across The Pond B&B is no exception. The sound of the "lonesome whistle" can be very appealing, but for our guests who think otherwise each of our guest rooms is provided with state-of-the-art sound-masking devices. Sweet dreams!

The Picot Room

The Picot Room

A large oil painting over the mantle by the celebrated French artist Jean-Claude Picot dominates this airy room, and the huge king-sized oak sleigh bed ensures sweet dreams. Relax with a book or go online in the charming sitting area. In this room, the original quarter sawn oak flooring has been beautifully restored. The bathroom features subway tile and a large walk-in shower with frameless glass doors and a vanity sink with granite countertop.

The room, with its own access hall, can be reached by the palatial full stairway or by the rear stairs, which in days gone by were the sole domain of the servants.

With five multi-paned sash windows on three sides, the light streams into the only guest room that extends the full width of the Across the Pond structure.

The Presley Room

The Presley Room

Originally the sun porch, then the dressing room for the master bedroom, our smallest guest room features the original wainscoting and unique windows found nowhere else on the property. The light-filled bathroom features a pedestal sink, a roomy shower with frameless glass doors and beautiful “linen style” tile.

The unique bedroom is all about glamour, from the white queen-sized bed with crystal studded headboard and sparkling furnishings, and the full-length beveled glass mirror, to the black-and-white photography on the wall. If you look closely, you may just spot the King of Rock and Roll!

The Matisse Suite

The Matisse Suite

For those who really wish to indulge themselves, we offer this guest suite, with its own sizable separate sitting room with fireplace and a luxurious marble bathroom. This bathroom features a tub shower combination and a double vanity which has a black pearl leather granite countertop. Occupying the full length of the second floor, the suite, with a beautiful queen-sized bed, has the feeling of a small apartment as you enter the private hallway and see rooms to the left and right

Curl up on the inviting couch and watch a film on the smart TV after a relaxing soak in the tub. The choice is yours. The eclectic artwork ranges from the French master, Henri Matisse, to original works by the celebrated photojournalist Teenie Harris. All make for real conversation pieces.
